There are uncertainties that are part of growing up in the complex world in which we live. While we may reflect upon the yesteryears fondly as adults, the truth is, at times, childhood can be anything but carefree. Social blunders and misunderstandings, an unexpected uprooting, and the awkward growing pains from youth can leave their mark. They can also create opportunities for growth. The ability to thrive despite our challenges arises from developing skills of resilience. This month, I address how parents can foster resiliency in their kids in my North Phoenix Mom’s Blog post.
