Kyana Bellon, BS, Clinical Intern
Hello, my name is Kyana Bellon and I am a clinical intern at Elevate Counseling! I am in my second year in the Master of Counseling (MC) program at Arizona State University. Prior to beginning graduate work in counseling, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Women & Gender Studies.
My approach to counseling centers on building strong relationships with my clients so that I can create a space where you can feel safe to process and explore your thoughts and feelings. As a counselor, I believe that you are the experts of your own life. You have an innate ability for growth.
My goal is to help clients recognize that ability for growth, as well as other strengths, in order to help them feel more empowered in life. I value compassion and authenticity and strive to support my clients as they work through challenging circumstances or seek to improve their overall well-being.
I frequently utilize cognitive-behavioral, dialectical, and strengths-based approaches to help clients meet their goals.
I look forward to working with you!
My experiences include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Counseling Women
- Group Counseling
- Career Counseling
- Mindfulness and Deep Breathing
- Online Speaking Engagements
More about me:
I am an Arizona native and love everything that this great state has to offer! In my free time, I enjoy taking my dogs on hikes, visiting new places, reading, creating art, and yoga. My future goals include completing a clinical psychology doctoral program and becoming a licensed psychologist so that I may continue to serve and advocate for the needs of the community.
