Lauryn Fjell, MSW, LMSW-T

Hello, my name is Lauryn!

I truly believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside individuals going through some of the hardest times of their lives. My approach to therapy is humanistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on the creation of mindfulness and self-compassion practices. I feel that therapy should be collaborative, and I hope to create a space where you feel safe to discuss your priorities, concerns, goals, and accomplishments.

I’ve had the honor of working in the field of intimate partner violence for several years directly serving individuals and families who experienced domestic abuse and educating other professionals about the complex nuances of domestic and sexual violence. This work inspired me to pursue my Master’s Degree in Social Work, and I graduated from Arizona State University in 2024. During my graduate program, I had the opportunity to provide crisis response services at the scenes of 911 calls, as well as to provide individual therapy to people experiencing grief and bereavement. During my free time, I like to read romance and fiction novels, take care of my houseplants, and cuddle with my two rescue pups!

Whether you are an adult, teen, or adolescent navigating life after the experience of intimate partner violence, grieving the death of a loved one, exploring your sexual or gender identity, or looking for some extra support, it would be my honor to walk alongside you in your journey.

My experience includes:

  • Traumatic Grief and Bereavement
  • Grief and Loss
  • Domestic and Sexual Violence
  • Infertility and Pregnancy Loss
  • Trauma
  • Polyvagal Theory
  • Mindfulness
  • LGBTQ+ Community
