Lorena Quinones, BA, BS

Hi! I’m Lorena and I am a Clinical Intern at Elevate Counseling.

I’m excited to support you on your journey towards personal growth and self-awareness. I have a warm and non-judgmental approach, with the intention to create a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you identify your inner strengths, learn coping skills, and gain insight into how you communicate with yourself and others in order to live a more balanced life.

I tend to use Cognitive-Behavioral techniques including skills from Dialectical Behavior therapy such as mindfulness and radical acceptance. I also rely on principals from Family Systems Theory to understand my clients and how they function and interact with others at home, in school, and in society.

My experience includes:

I am in my second year of the Master of Counseling (MC) program in clinical mental health at Arizona State University.  I also attended ASU for my undergraduate degrees, where I double majored in Psychology (BA) and Justice Studies (BS) as well as minored in Dance.
