Shatien Jordan
Hi, I’m Shatien!
I provide individual counseling to children, teens, and adults. I especially enjoy supporting gifted, twice-exceptional, and high-achieving clients as they navigate the unique challenges that can accompany giftedness. My experience also includes helping college students and adults manage school, life transitions, unexpected stressors, and other challenges. I enjoy co-creating a curious and encouraging space where clients can work toward their goals, develop useful tools, and reset.
I believe in meeting clients where they are. In therapy, I walk alongside clients as they process concerns, explore goals, and recognize their strengths. I may offer a gentle push when helpful while allowing each client the space and autonomy to lead.
My approach is strengths-based and integrative. I draw from different theories, techniques, and interventions based on each client’s needs. My goal is to provide a supportive, trusting, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable expressing your needs and pursuing meaningful change.
I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Integrative Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota. I later earned my Master of Counseling from Arizona State University. I’m glad to be part of Elevate Counseling and look forward to working with you!
