The Impact of Social Media on Teens

I came across this article this morning while drinking my coffee. The irony about reading an article about too much “electronic time” on my Ipad is not lost on me! None the less, The Atlantic did a great job delving into how social media is shaping the development of our kids. Both the positive and the negative effects. The article references a correlation between increased electronic usage and increased symptoms of depression, something that I’ve also noticed among the teens that I see.

The pressures are real! FYI: I’ll be starting a high school teen support group to address these issues in September. Contact me for more information.
