Elevate Counseling: EMDR For Trauma

Traumatic Experiences Change Your Brain. Literally

Research shows that the brain stores traumatic experiences differently than other memories.

Are you easily triggered into negative emotions? Do you KNOW you are overreacting, but you just can’t stop yourself in the moment?

I often hear these comments in my counseling office and people are sometimes surprised when I tell them that an earlier, traumatic experience may be the culprit.

Trauma plants seeds in our lives. These seeds can grow and fester over time. The key is to identify these outgrowths and uproot them.

In this video, I explain how psychological issues like anxiety, depression, and anger may be related to earlier moments in your life. I challenge you to “rethink” what you know about “trauma.” Relief is possible!

Curious for more information? In the video, I referenced this article about EMDR.
